it's not an artwork bug, but a packaging one.

so what do you mean with using 'gtk-qt engine', you have gtk-qt-engine
installed ?
if yes does it work better without it

what happen it you remove the files:
 /home/£USER/.gtkrc-2.0-kde
 /home/$USER/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini
 /home/$USER/.kde4/env/gtk-qt-engine.rc.sh
