Thanks for taking it to this list :)

Triaged is a keyword, though, we can't set bugs to a TRIAGED status. To 
make it confusing, assigned is a keyword we use when we assign a bug to 
a maintainer.
What this was about, is the ASSIGNED status. According to bugzilla, an 
assigned  bug remains NEW until the assignee decides what to do with it. 
Bugzilla doesn't say the assignee waits to accept until he/she starts 
working on it.

*NEW*
    This bug has recently been added to the assignee's list of bugs and
    must be processed. Bugs in this state may be accepted, and become
    *ASSIGNED*, passed on to someone else, and remain *NEW*, or resolved
    and marked *RESOLVED*.
