[Mageia-dev] Cross compile x86_64 on i586 for icecream?

Hi,

I'm not exactly a guru with icecream but is it possible to build a
toolchain that can allow i586 nodes to compile x86_64 code?

I've got a few powerful machines at home but one is a network booting
i586 machine (I'd prefer to keep it that way due to the fact that the
network base can be shared between a couple machines and not all are 64
bit native machines).

I think there is an OpenSuse package for this (likely due to the OBS stuff).

Does anyone with more knowledge in this area have a clue about all this
jazz?

Col
