Note that df documentation says to use the option -a to list "dummy file 
systems".
Which includes the binds.  Otherwise binds aren't displayed (with mga1).

What happens if you use
df --total
Does it give the real totals of mounted devices ?
or include the dummy file systems ?
and also the duplication ?

On mga1, with
df -a --total
the total includes all lines displayed.  (including binds, tmpfs, etc.)
(Also /proc is displayed.)
Without -a, only real partitions are displayed.
