Yes, most of us left (not exactly "leave", but well...)

Yes, they are.
Just a few newer ones are written in python, but most drakxtools are in
perl (as well as the DrakX installer with which code is shared).

It is planned to keep supporting DrakX installer + drakxtools in Mageia,
as you can see in alpha1
