Greetings, 

As JA Magallón suspected, the problem is in the installer, not the
packages requirements: kdelibs4-core and phonon-gstreamer are
automatically selected, even for a minimal install (along with
their own dependencies, ending at about 550 packages total, and over 800
Mbytes).
