are you sure this is wanted? because i think it might be better to downgrade 
qhull back to the version that works with octave, and then after release you 
can reupgrade it?

just in the interest of not breaking things?

if you think it's not a major package and the updates are really wanted and 
stretch no further than just octave, imho you can do so. Just keep in mind the 
version freeze please. Which was 15th april, iirc.
