You may remember that I said that the beta 2 install took 5 hours -
beta 3 took just over one hour. Maybe there always was a problem with
my beta 2 install, although the sha1sum verified.

Beta 3 then - install went absolutely fine until the opportunity to
update during install. This failed (followed by a message "Bringing
up the network").

After booting I opened MCC and configured the wire interface, dhcp,
automatic dns, gave it a hostname, then back to configuring repos. I
unchecked CD/DVD and enabled Core - and the list retrieval failed.

Back to the main MCC Network screen, and got "This program has exited
abnormally". Restarted MCC.

Went back to Network and gave it fixed DNS addresses. Main screen
says there is a problem during network connectivity test - but a
notification patch came up announcing a valid ip connection.

Still unable to get synthesis file for Core Release - is this expected
at this time? "curl failed: exited with 22".

Running Updates gives me an empty list - expected?

Any of the setup screens that require extra packages are unable to get
them, so clearly there is a problem, but in view of seeing the network
notification I don't know where to look now.
