Probably not, it's hard to know since I use pm-{suspend,hibernate} to
move my laptop and I reboot only when the wake up fails.

I use plymouth: plymouth-0.8.5.1-1.mga3 (it seems it's the latest,
installed the July, 9).
Notice I got message "assert [...] != NULL failed" when I hit esc key
and a special character keep apparing like a key were pressed
permanently until I hit <esc> again.
I haven't see any password request in text mode.
The issue is the same in "failsafe mode" and iirc it does not have
the "splash" mode.

After waiting about 30 seconds, messages appear about unresolved dependencies
over /home.
In failsafe mode it ask for root password to enter in rescue mode.
I'll reboot this afternoon to check if initrd success or failed and
get more informations.
Regards.
