I fixed some fallout from this in the vte3 package last week when
scrolling stopped working in gnome-terminal so I have seen this in the wild.

We are also currently NOT using xinput 2.2 (I did actually rebuilt it
locally but have not rebuilt any other packages other than lib64xi6
against it.

I don't seem to notice any significant scrolling issues however.

Other than vte3, I've not really been affected :s
