We are not testing the same distro :-( 
F1 Help is ont the bottom left and the content is not understandable for most 
people even if they understand english:
* splash -- influence the behevior of the splash screen
* apm -- toggle power management
* acpi --  advanced configuration and power interface
* idle  -- control the ide subsystem
