Some thoughts i had during meeting, but refrained from speaking out during the
meeting:

council formation:
----------------------
imo, it should consist of 1 vote for each team(the representative who will not
vote for personal preference, but for team preference) + 1 vote for each board
member(personal preference)

there should be for each member of the board an "identity" to do this, if the
board switches members, the identity will be kept.

each team should have 3 important positions:
 - team leader
 - backup leader
 - representative to council (could be one of the team leaders or anyone else)
(job of representative is to put forward the team ideas, never personal
preference!)

no restrictions on board membership and team leaders and representatives.

there is no double vote as the team representative always puts forward the
position(vote) of the team.

non_free issue: (overview)
-------------------
reading the ML, there are several positions:
A) people who want 100% FREE
B) people who want functionality
C) people who want everything
D) people who think firmware released as BSD (without source) is still FREE
E) people who think that firmwares on ISO will not fit (no space to put it)

options:
1: 1 FREE DVD and 1 liveDVD
2: 1 FREE DVD and 1 liveDVD + 1 extra ISO/USBstick for firmware
3: 1 FREE DVD and 1 "regular" (contains also networking firmware) and 1 liveDVD
4: 1 Free DVD (with option for networking firmware) and 1 liveDVD

now: concerns are as follows:
- how much space are we talking about (firmwares)
- if BSD firmware is considered FREE, how much space is left, or is there any?

option 1 is the easiest one, if D is correct.
option 2 is bad for usability
option 3 is too much work to QA (possibly)
option 4 maybe not enough space
option 4 is probably not good enough for people A

personally IMHO, i think people D should not be ignored, it might make things
alot simpler and perhaps people releasing firmware as BSD will give source
code, if asked for it. (or perhaps there is no source code). (TO BE CHECKED)

furthermore, i think option 4 is good enough to satisfy people A.

if not, i guess option 3 is a less good alternative.

i don't think option 2 is a good alternative

arm:
------
i'm interested in having mageia server version working on arm embedded
hardware. (don't forget this means basesystem+server stuff in less than 500MB)
