I found out a solution for that. I placed this in ~/.Xkbmap :

<<<
-option compose:ralt,grp:switch,grp:alt_shift_toggle,grp_led:scroll
-variant ,lyx us,il
>>>

And now the keyboard is working fine. I learned about ~/.Xkbmap
in /etc/X11/xinit/fixkeyboard .
