How strange!  He does switch the mouse off when shutting down, but I
guess there is possibly some residual.  Anyway, worth a try.

Of course.  I do appreciate that, but frankly in this case I had no
idea where to start, so no inkling of what info would be useful.
Where I do have some idea of the problem I can give info, but in cases
like this, I'm completely stuck.  I try not to ask if I can solve the
problem myself :-)
