Next time maybe use something like:

[doktor5000 at mageia1 ~]$ rpmvercmp.rb 6.43-2.mga2 6.43.1-1.mga2
6.43.1-1.mga2

which outputs the greater version string, rpmvercmp.rb comes with ruby-rpm.
