Yes, I noticed that.

How much of that is graphical? A separate image for each language would
quickly fill the DVD

I had only Mageia 1 and it was recognised.
There is an ongoing problem with Xscreensaver, which affects only a few of us
(including Murphy me, who reported it) but the maintainer can't reproduce it:

On installing Beta 2 as a fresh install, my CD-ROM changed from /dev/sr0 to
/dev/hda, and the symlink to /dev/cdrom was not created. On rebooting, the
symlink was deleted. That may mean that it is tied to the removal of mount
points? I have posted about this at the end of

but perhaps it doesn't belong there. The change of device is relatively
minor. Neither of these issues with the device was evident in my fully
updated Beta 1.
