[Mageia-discuss] What network interfaces are supposed to be supported by boot.iso?

I have a laptop with toast ethernet NIC.
A couple weeks ago i tried booting network install boot.iso and use intel
2200BG interface, but i think it it looks like one file was missing.
And it did not find my PC Card ethernet NIC.
See thread: https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=2191

There are different images @
ftp://mirrors.kernel.org/mageia/distrib/cauldron/i586/install/images/

But is there anywhere some info of what each are supposed to support?

I wish there were one network install boot image that support all wifi and NIC
interfaces that at all is possible with mageia.

For my own need i cloned another laptops drive.

But i really think network instal should be able to use any interface as not
all users have wired network, and not all laptops have wired NIC.
It ought to support PC-card and USB connected adapters as well as all common
chips.
