 Why does it mention that installation of kernel-devel is required ?

 There is a rpm package of tx-client in mageia :
 http://sophie.zarb.org/rpms/bc8ed5326a67f71e84abd68a59216a00

 I can also push it to backport of mandriva, some people are working on 
 it
 for Fedora ( iirc ), and I am sure I can find someone to push it for 
 Opensuse.
