These two are more about Cauldron, given the illustration. But that's
my impression.

Yes. Why not use the unified grid-like background image
(Wall*-04.jpg)? (with or without the Mageia name on it) - there it
would be unified with the boot sequence.

So far, no. And it's a bit late to design this in a hurry.
