I don't think it really matters.
Each user can drag and drop icons to the launcher and remove them as he or
she sees fit. Each person uses the computer differently and therefore has
applications that he or she uses more. We can't accommodate everybody.
Whoever made the decision to put those applications there clearly had some
reason for doing it like that.
I think it's far too late in the release process to do this now, and I'm
not sure that we are the ones to do it.
Why don't you submit a bug?
