bug in gmail that google seems to refuse how to fix, please submit a bug 
report. if you're on a mailing list and you send a mail yourself, you don't 
get your own post, it is filtered out, definately in pop3/imap, possibly in 
gmail itself as well.

please submit a bug report over there, it's very very annoying and i seem to 
be ignored by them.
