Plz, take a look at this mdv bug:

the problem is a bug in
libdbus-glib-1_2 package, it is necessary a Debian patch
http://patch-tracker.debian.org/package/dbus-glib/0.94-4

I suffer it for Usb modem, and mdv package made it work.
Probably hurts more apps...
