I get a curious error message:

NetworkManager[31268]: <info> (wlan0): bringing up device.
NetworkManager[31268]: <debug> [1308523664.980198] [nm-supplicant-manager.c:86] nm_supplicant_manager_iface_get(): (wlan0): creating new supplicant interface
NetworkManager[31268]: <debug> [1308523664.981554] [nm-supplicant-interface.c:583] interface_add(): (wlan0): adding interface to supplicant
NetworkManager[31268]: <debug> [1308523664.983624] [nm-device-wifi.c:3655] real_set_enabled(): (wlan0): enable waiting on supplicant state
NetworkManager[31268]: <debug> [1308523664.984204] [nm-netlink-monitor.c:117] link_msg_handler(): netlink link message: iface idx 3 flags 0x1003
NetworkManager[31268]: <debug> [1308523664.984705] [nm-supplicant-interface.c:560] interface_add_cb(): (wlan0): failed to activate supplicant: The name fi.w1.wpa_supplicant1 was not provided by any .service files
NetworkManager[31268]: <info> (wlan0): supplicant interface state: starting -> init

Mmmm, googlin a bit I found this:

http://fossplanet.com/f13/re-wifi-networkmanager-0-8-996-a-113296/

So i short it seems that wpa_supplicant has to be compiled with dbus support for
new networkmanager. I also see a patch in src.rpm to disable dbus....
