Now, I checked with
- latest gtk-3.0 (version 3.6.2, compiled manually),
- latest glib (version 2.34.2 similar to mga3, and compiled manually),
- libcairo2-1.12.8-1.mga3

Still can't reproduce.

Background is properly rendered, (unlike in your screenshot) and all 
buttons are present before hovering.
So that I am clueless.
