[Mageia-dev] unhappy with partitioning step results (& no BS key)

http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/dfsee-support/message/14485 provides
details of the problems.

To summarize the problems resulting from selection of "use free space" in
HTTP installation of latest Cauldron completed within the hour:

1-the table chain was not kept in logical order matching the physical layout,
putting sda26-8 ahead of sda23-5.

2-the formula used to create the partitions already existing was not
maintained for the creation of the new ones for Mageia's use.

3-existing swap space was not reused, along with no such option

As to #1 & #2, are these behaviors attributable to an upstream partitioning
utility incorporated by the installer? If so, which, and are the behaviors
among multiple options what the installer might be able to choose instead?

Unrelated observation: BS key on standard US keyboard does not BS. I had to
use ctrl-h when BS was necessary on tty2.
