[Mageia-discuss] Icons on kde desktop

I must be missing something simple.  With Mandriva 2010.2, I
had several icons on the kde4 desktop, including pdf documents,
etc.

With Magiea alpha2, there are no icons on the desktop.  I
can add widgets, but not icons.

I've looked through systemsettings, but can't figure out
what I'm missing.  I've tried creating a new user to ensure
it wasn't being caused by old ~/.kde4 files, but it's the
same with the new user.

Any ideas?
