[Mageia-discuss] error with Release 1 installer

Trying to upgrade my current Mageia installation from the DVD, I get an 
endless loop in the kernel messages, to the effect that USB 1-4 is tried on 
various ports in the 43 range and always gives error -71.  I couldn't find a 
way to save the log.  Meanwhile the GUI is showing "proceeding, please 
wait..."

I have no idea which USB device is involved.  lsusb from the working system 
doesn't correspond.  If a bug report is needed, I will unplug every USB device 
to identify it.

Why upgrade?  Only so that the DVD is the basis of the system.
