[Mageia-discuss] Gimp , Gwenview printing

At the end of September I mentioned that gwenview print ass't did not
print the photos with the proper color. I have included the gimp photo.
This was used in both ML and Mageia. The ML printed image and the Mageia
printed image are also included. I used print ass't in both. The mageia
image shows poor color. There is too much red.

I had to reinstall ML2010.2 to print good quality photos via gwenview
and print ass't..

I just did a retest since hplip was updated. I did a minimal install on
a flash drive and then an update of all installed software. Around 500
updates. I then reprinted the gimppic using print ass't in Gwenview and
gutenberg print in gimp. They both produced the same unsatisfactory
photos as before and shown as mmageia.jpg.

It appears I may be the only one with this problem. I wonder if it might
be the hplip drivers. I am using a HP Photosmart Plus 209a-m. I think I
remember seeing 209a-c listed in Mageia.

I am forced to remain with ML2010.2 because of the printing issue.

Thanks, Gary
