[Mageia-discuss] subscribing to updates-announce

i have to create an account on the system before subscribing to the mageia 
updates-announce list, but there seems to be no link to create such an 
account.
what's odd is that this list isn't listed at that site and i'm sure i didn't 
create an account anywhere to subscribe here, am i missing something?
