[Mageia-discuss] Home directory permissions

Hello,

I just finished my 3rd install of a Mageia system and I noticed that the
permissions for the user folders (Ex: "/home/user1/") are '755'.  I set
my users up during the install process and I am using Mageia 1.

Can I safely change the permissions to '700'?

Is there a reason Mageia is setting the permissions to '755' by default?
