Here in the german version (Mageia 1, Ark 2.16, KDE 4.6.5) it works well 
and korrekt. But don't forget Anne in the second case you determine 
where the files go in, in the first case Ark try to find out from the 
archive, Maybe here a trail to a anser for you?
