Just to add another $.02

mga2 -> mga3 upgrade is now possible with the installer dvds, since
Mageia 3 alpha 3. It is not yet possible with urpmi, an update will be
needed for mga2 first to handle the /usr move. It might be something you
would like to help test though. VM's or a spare partition are useful for
that.
