Okay, so in normal altera style, they ship their own libz with the install
and the installer uses that libz. Only problem is that the one they ship
doesn't have the fix for gzdirect.

Simply copy a new libz into the altera_installer/bin/ directory and rename
it libz.so.1 and then the install will work.
