I use clcal, which is very basic.  It has a buggy GUI, but is intended
to work in a terminal.  I have a Konsole running all the time, and
have set up clcal to print out 3 days' appointments when any
terminal is opened.  There are several alternatives mentioned on the
clcal Home Page at http://www.hyborian.demon.co.uk/clcal/

Xfce has Orage, but I haven't used it.
