no, you're thinking of use flags here...

thing is, SRPM's are available, you can modify them and rebuild them locally.

in mageia (since mandrake times) we usually split up packages in several
parts, all of which could be installed separately.

keep in mind that it's possible that printer drivers are required to
automagically detect them, so in that case, it'd not be feasable for us.

but you're welcome to become a packager and split up the SRPM's in
separate installable packages. (if it's useful of course)
