Thankyou for the info in response to my earlier query. I forwarded on 
the web references received earlier in the thread to LWN, with some 
encouragement, and received a prompt reply:

"We are evaluating the Mageia advisories.  Hopefully we'll be adding
them soon."

Will help to remind many of Mageia's ongoing activity.
