Ok, I just read (and translated) the announcement in the Mageia blog.
This was easily identifiable as a short matter-of-fact information to
the community of testers (including all interested parties) that the
beta version is available for testing. Included the necessary
informations which I listed in one of my previous mails:
- who releases what
- new versions of main packages and main changes
- request for feedback (where and how)
- information about download.
Of course this is not an announcement you would send to any external
news site or magazine as advertisement of your distribution. It's just
what it wants to be: "Hey, we promised, we deliver. Here it is, help
us with your feedback, have fun!"
Just to show you that I do see differences where they are :)
