That's mail client wrapping/unwrapping. It's 700 lines of content
overall, but granted it ended up being more in the mail unless the mail
client didn't reformat it.

True but then I want people to look at the output and give their
opinions as to if there was something wrong/dangerous/problematic in
what I did. If they are not interested in the topic they won't read the
mail at all, so either they are participating half-heartedly and not
reading the log, or they are helping. Either way it's the same task
needed so the medium is pretty much irrelevant.

Granted I could have trimmed that, sorry.

Not really. The whole point in the mail was that I was identifying
branches that had been deleted due to the push I did. 5 lines would not
be sufficient for that.

I'm quite serious. It's a matter of opinion. I certainly don't
completely disagree with all your points, but they are still subjective.
But anyway, no real point in discussing further. If something similar
happens again I'll try and trim the useless sendmail output.
