Well this is due to time constraints primarily as we need to get
something out of the door soon and this likely means using subversion,
but this is not totally decided yet and I, for one, will very much be
pushing for a git migration for package management as soon as practicable.

Hopefully when this migration happens Mandriva will be able to use this
experience to also consider using git (with the number of contributors
obviously finite, I'd hope that the benefits of a DVCS would be apparent
as such an architecture is obviously beneficial to both Mandriva and
Mageia).
