granted, however, i would hope for a 3rd option (something like task-32bit-
compat; being suggested by basesystem: easier to skip 1 package like this) or 
even 4th option that would be even better.

if it doesn't it's pretty odd being a package sort of required on KDE to use 
gstreamer instead of phonon. same thing with requiring gnome-keychain.

imho, it should be recoded a bit by the authors to make more of a plugin 
structure if only for such requirements (run time instead of by compile time). 
then again, maybe it can be like this and it just needs to be built with less 
static libs?
