Let me please add one point here:

There was a "rush to arms" in late September when we started out on
this. The "Teams" pages in our wiki ( http://mageia.org/wiki/doku.php
) were filled with names of people who demonstrated their readiness to
be a part of this community project by writing down their names in the
various areas of work.

Now time has gone by and many of those whose names are listed in those
wiki pages have shown their commitment, their enthousiasm and their
skills by helping Mageia up to this Beta stage. Others have either
found other tasks or areas which demand their time and attention or
just lost interest because there was not much to do for them during
the months of "environment building".

I'd kindly ask those people to check again - the situation has changed
a lot, a whole infrastructure is in place for almost every field of
interest for you. May be you were bored because you could do nothing
but lurk over the fences all the time. Now the time has come for you
to enter the game, we need you to help in that area of work you
offered your help.

Think again and join us. Don't hesitate to contact any of us with your
questions.

Cheers
