I kind of disagree with you here on 2 points:
- I estimate(wild guess) that if there is even 4hours between release and
these packages appearing, that you're already gonna have at least one person
complaining about it
- If you say, after release is fine; then it'll likely take more than a week
after release to have those packages on the mirrors, because at that point
people will just want to "fix" the BS the correct way...
of course this is also my personal opinion...
In essence if the packages would find their way on updates before mageia1 is
released, it'll be more or less the same... It's not like these tainted
packages are going to be on release media...

If by "helping" you mean constantly asking and bugging everyone about it,
then: "my pleasure". :-P However, i'm not on sysadm team and I've been told to
"not do too many things at the same time"...
