I have to add my vote to the 4-element theme:

which looks even better than the people holding hands, still with an
easily identified meaning.

and, to a lesser extent, to the orb-in-Moebius-ribbon one:

in my view, the clearest-looking in the "magic" category.

In terms of ideas conveyed by the logo, I think the diversity
(4-element) and community (people holding hands) themes are more
meaningful than the somewhat anecdotal theme of magic (still vaguely
reminiscent of the Mandrake origins). I know that the name of Mageia
is about magic, but I think it should remain just that: nothing more
than a name.
