There is already an advanced button to allow you to set whatever UID/GID 
you want during installation.
It is easy to miss the advanced button though - maybe showing the 
advanced options on the page - pre-filled with the defaults - labelled 
as advanced options would be a better compromise.
New users could just leave them alone and advanced users would not 
forget about them.

OT...
The same logic should be applied to the boot loader location - it 
defaults to MBR but there is no mention of this unless one backtracks 
from the summary page.
