Okay, I have that too - it's just another front-end to CUPS, so it
shouldn't make any difference.

The CUPS+Gutenprint model - is it the Photosmart 7150 driver? There's
some info here that suggests using a different driver might work, but
it could be out of date:

Otherwise it's mostly as I expected (CUPS doesn't find my network
printer either, I have to add it and then add the IP address).
What connection method are you using? I have two iterations of my
Photosmart C6180 set up; one using the socket:// connection and one
using hp:/net/Photosmart_C6100_series?ip=192.168.1.4. Both appear to
work fine.

It's a mystery still! Let's keep it out here in case anyone else has
a suggestion...
