A more technical user that wants to contact a packager should still always
go via the dev ML not direct email, not least because any package related
discussion should be in public.
So maybe we could put the dev ML email in the changelog for everybody.

Sure the trust is in Mageia the association and it's reputation that will
build up over time, some random names of packagers don't have an effect on
the trust.

That is often not the case, and doesn't make any difference anyway because
even real sounding names could be aliases.

So some random name means you trust a package more than if there is a
nickname?
How do you know the real sounding name isn't a fake name anyway?

Like I said the trust comes through the Mageia association and the fact
that packages are built on the official Mageia build system, not from the
names of packagers.

At the very least this should be discussed in the dev forum that the
packagers read, not here, hidden away in the sysadm forum. I only
discovered this thread since I maintain the Mageia ML gateway and noticed
this thread in the "Last message on the forum" entry on the main page.
