Those were 6/7 very succinct slides to reference my words; the
description here matters much more than the actual slides (in French).

Yes, to formally design the goal to reach. But the source of it is in
the brainstorm session - it does not come out of nowhere, and does not
come only from marcom.

But don't get me wrong. The role of marcom is still critical to
gather/educate/make a consistent plan out of the discussed
ideas/plans.

So far, we can only say "it could be this, it could be that", because
Mageia 1 goal is nothing more than: making a cool, working
distribution all by ourselves. Then, iterate on this.

Cool, please keep the list regularly updated about this, as you make
progress. Just a note, about vision/mission, there were notes on
Graham's wiki.

Not as easy as that; that requires to consolidate logs from all
mirrors (not counting mirrors we are not aware of) and to take into
the fact that behind the same IP address can live several systems.

We need another indicator, like, a single ping to a single Mageia
server each time an install or update process is started - that's not
perfect yet, but at least it indicates a figure correlated with the
number of active systems in the wild (and of which version). We used
to have such a system at MDV.

There may be other methods (among which some very intrusive ones, that
are not options for us) - I know other distributions faced the same
issues - Fedora did publish a summary about this, but I can't find the
document back.
